Key process features
Production follows a proven process to ensure consistent self-lubricating properties and structural integrity:
●Alloy Casting: High-quality ingots are melted and cast (centrifugal or continuous) into dense sleeves with controlled chemistry.
●Heat Treatment: Annealing optimizes hardness, toughness, and eliminates internal stresses.
●Rough Machining: CNC turning establishes precise outer and inner dimensions.
●Graphite Plug Insertion: Solid graphite plugs are precisely drilled and pressed into the bearing surface in optimized patterns for even lubrication.
●Finish Machining: Final honing and sizing achieve tight tolerances and smooth running surfaces.
●Surface Treatment: Optional break-in coating applied to enhance initial run-in performance.
●Cleaning & Packaging: Thorough cleaning removes debris, followed by protective packaging to prevent damage.
Quality control system
● Full traceability from ingot heat number to finished bushing
● Retention of material samples and records ≥3 years for third-party testing (SGS, BV, TÜV, etc.)
● 100% inspection of critical attributes:
• Chemical composition (spectrometric analysis)
• Graphite plug distribution and retention (visual and dimensional checks)
• Dimensional accuracy (CMM and bore gauges; typical ID tolerance ±0.02mm)
• Surface finish and hardness (profilometer and Rockwell testing)
• Load and wear performance (sample testing per batch)
● Internal standards exceed ASTM B505 requirements. Typical C95400 with graphite: High compressive strength ≥650 MPa, Excellent dry friction performance, Superior resistance to seawater and chemicals.
