Forged Brass Rod – Process & Quality Assurance Statement
Our forged brass rods are produced through hot forging to achieve enhanced mechanical properties and dense structure, making them ideal for applications requiring superior strength and precision forming.

Key process features

The manufacturing process is carefully managed for optimal material flow and integrity:
●Billet Preparation: Certified brass extrusions or cast billets are cut to precise lengths and preheated.
●Hot Forging: Heated billets are forged under high-pressure dies to shape the rod, refining grain and improving strength.
●Trimming & Cooling: Excess flash is removed, followed by controlled cooling to minimize stresses.
●Heat Treatment: Annealing restores ductility and prepares the material for further machining.
●Straightening: Mechanical or hydraulic straightening ensures excellent linearity.
●Surface Conditioning: Optional turning or peeling provides a clean, uniform finish.
●Final Protection: Rods are lightly oiled and securely packaged to prevent damage during global shipping.

Quality control system

● Complete traceability from incoming billet to finished forged rod
● Material test certificates supplied with every shipment
● Sample retention ≥3 years for third-party review (SGS, BV, TÜV, etc.)
● 100% inspection of critical aspects:
• Chemical composition (optical emission spectrometry)
• Mechanical properties (tensile, yield, and elongation testing on samples)
• Dimensional accuracy (micrometers and gauges; typical tolerance ±0.5% on diameter)
• Surface quality and straightness (visual + laser measurement)
• Internal structure (ultrasonic testing on selected sizes)
● Internal standards meet or exceed ASTM B124 requirements. Typical C37700 forged properties: Tensile strength ≥450 MPa, Excellent hot forging response, Superior performance in high-stress forged components.
● ISO 9001:2015 certified operations ensure every forged brass rod delivers the strength, consistency, and workability needed for your precision forging projects.
